The History Teachers Association of Australia (HTAA), is the organiser of the National History Challenge.
HTAA aims to promote public support for a more widespread involvement in the teaching, learning and making of history. It also encourages a diversity of perspectives on the Australian experience, in the belief that an understanding of our diverse yet common past is a prerequisite to informed participation in Australian society.
