May be an individual or group entry (4 people maximum).
A multimedia presentation can be presented using audio or DVD. It may take any format ( DVD or PowerPoint for example) but must be supported by appropriate software; ready for viewing by the judges. The presentation must be a response to the theme based in your research. The presentation must be an original composition although it may make use of existing multimedia material.
Your entry must:
- Be an individual or group entry (maximum of four in any one group).
- Be submitted with a copy of the entry form, completed and signed.
- Be submitted with appropriate software to run the entry. No time will be spent resolving technical issues.
- Be in DVD format.
- Be succinct. A maximum of ten minutes will be spent viewing the entry and its components.
Years 5 to 8
- A 200 word (maximum) explanation of how the research was carried out to create and develop the entry must be included. It must conclude with a strong statement about the relationship of the presentation to the theme.
- A bibliography must be included.
- Entries must be student produced and presented, no external assistance is allowable at any stage of the multimedia presentation’s development or display.
Years 9 to 12
- A 500 word (maximum) explanation of how the research was carried out to create and develop the entry must be included. It must conclude with a strong statement about the relationship of the presentation to the theme.
- An annotated bibliography and correct referencing must be included.
- Entries must be student produced and presented, no external assistance is allowable at any stage of the multimedia presentation’s development or display.
Only one copy of your research is required for judging at school level. AT STATE AND NATIONAL LEVEL TWO COPIES OF YOUR ENTRY ARE REQUIRED.
