Indigenous History

The National Museum of Australia is proud to sponsor this special category in which students research Australia’s rich Indigenous history.

In 2019 students must focus their research on People and Power. The struggle for rights and equality for Indigenous Australians has seen people and power make profound changes in society. Consider the achievements, acclamations, challenges and controversies brought about by the ways power was used or gained by different people.

Think about actions of individuals or organisations and the significant events that affected them or the broader community. You should think about how these struggles related to the idea of power.
