Students

The National History Challenge is a competition for students in years 5-12.  It asks students to research this years theme, which is “Celebrations, Memories and History“.
   
There are 4 different entry formats: you can choose to write an essay, build a museum display, do a performance or create a multimedia entry. You can also choose to focus on one of the “Special Categories” available, however you must still incorporate the theme into your research.

Great prizes to be won! 
By entering the National History Challenge you will receive a Certificate of Participation! If you are chosen to be a state winner prizes includes prize money, medals and certificates! If your entry goes on to be a national winner you also get a trip to our national capital Canberra,where you get to visit sponsors and be awarded your prize at the award ceremony in Parliament House! Each year around 20 students from across the country are awarded this National prize!

Simply tell your teacher you would like to enter the National History Challenge through your school, alternatively you may enter as an individual. Remember, the National History is a fun way of learning history!
